SAM-HIT: A Simulated Annealing Multispectral to Hyperspectral Imagery Data Transformation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Space-borne hyperspectral imagery data are known for their high spectral resolution in a number of narrow wavelength intervals, which makes these useful mineral mapping. However, the available free-of-charge scenes cover only and scattered geographic areas. In contrast, multispectral have nearly complete spatial coverage wider intervals. The low data, however, limits efficiency mapping small geological massifs or hydrothermal alteration halos. present contribution presents new transformation tool (SAM-HIT) to simulate sensor responses unscanned areas based on partially overlapping scenes. Simulation prediction pseudohyperspectral is here accomplished by using simulated annealing linear optimization algorithm, allows lowest possible mismatch between original predicted data. visual numerical correlation resultant confirms reliability newly adopted transformation. Further, application SAM-HIT well-exposed part Egyptian basement complex with showed concordance identical band signatures, opening outlook exploration vast automated cost-free means.

Analysis of Hyperspectral Imagery for Oil Spill Detection Using SAM Unmixing Algorithm Techniques

Oil spill is one of major marine environmental challenges. The main impacts of this phenomenon are preventing light transmission into the deep water and oxygen absorption, which can disturb the photosynthesis process of water plants. In this research, we utilize SpecTIR airborne sensor data to extract and classify oils spill for the Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Horizon (DWH) happened in 2010. For t...

A Mushy State Simulated Annealing

It is a long time that the Simulated Annealing (SA) procedure has been introduced as a model-free optimization for solving NP-hard problems. Improvements from the standard SA in the recent decade mostly concentrate on combining its original algorithm with some heuristic methods. These modifications are rarely happened to the initial condition selection methods from which the annealing schedules...

Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research with Focus on Hyperspectral / Multispectral Imagery

The paper introduces a framework for the development of an interdisciplinary research approach in Computer Science / Computer Engineering education. Given the difficulty level required in many current research directions as well as the curriculum constraints on the number and type of courses that need to be taken by CS / CE undergraduate students, it is a challenge to attract them to participat...

Discrimination of arid vegetation with airborne multispectral scanner hyperspectral imagery

Hyperspectral imagery from the airborne multispectral scanner was evaluated for discrimination and mapping of vegetation components in a semi-arid rangeland environment in Southern Australia. Automated unmixing of two image strips with 5-m resolution revealed several vegetation endmembers in the visible, near infrared (near-IR), and short-wave infrared portions of the imagery. Identity of the e...

De-Shadowing of Satellite/Airborne Multispectral and Hyperspectral Imagery

A de-shadowing technique is presented for multispectral and hyperspectral imagery over land acquired by satellite / airborne sensors. The method requires a channel in the visible and at least one spectral band in the near-infrared (0.8-1 μm) region, but performs much better if bands in the short-wave infrared region (around 1.6 and 2.2 μm) are available as well. Five major processing steps are ...
